Reduced Turfgrass – Where ever there is high foot traffic for outdoor activities the traditional lawn performs well.
If there are large areas of lawn that are not used, consider alternatives to turfgrass. A native prairie can be one-fifth the cost of
turfgrass over a ten year period; it can provide a more interesting view as well. There are also other options: Lily turf, Eco Turf,
Buffalo Grass, Pennsylvania Sedge, and others.
